WindMW is responsible for planning and construction of the Offshore Wind Farms Meerwind Süd and Meerwind Ost. Operated by its affiliate WindMW Service GmbH and located near the island of Helgoland in the German North Sea, Meerwind Süd | Ost is feeding in a total power of up to 288 Megawatt into the public grid since September 2014. 80 Offshore Wind Energy Generators of the 3.6 MW-class type are producing sufficient environmentally friendly energy for approximately 360,000 households.

Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH & Co. KG is owner and operator of the windfarm, BARD Offshore 1 (BO1), approx. 100 km off the German North Sea Coast. BO1, the first and currently most powerful offshore wind farm in Germany is completely connected to the grid since September 2013.

HOFOR has more than 1,100 employees, supplying 1.1 million customers in the Copenhagen metropolitan area with: Drinking water, District heating, District cooling, Town gas, Disposal of wastewater. HOFOR also erect wind turbines and own the Amagerværket power station, which produces electricity and district heating (29 wind turbines with a total capacity of 75.9 MW. The expected output is over 250 GW per year, which corresponds to approx. 60,000 average households electricity consumption.)

In the early 2000s Shell moved into alternative energy and there is now an embryonic "Renewables" business that has made investments in solar power, wind power, hydrogen, and forestry. In 2008, the company withdrew from the London Array which has become the world's largest offshore wind farm.
